Virtual town hall meetings to address strategic planning and schools reopening

South Bend Community School Corporation Superintendent C. Todd Cummings, Ph.D., will host two virtual town hall-style meetings on Facebook Live on Thursday, July 9, and Thursday, July 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event on July 23 will be held in Spanish.

These virtual meetings will allow teachers, parents, and community members to ask questions about the district’s plans for reopening schools, as well as strategic planning following the success of the recent referendum.

Individuals unable to participate in the live events are asked to submit questions ahead of time to asksbcsc@sb.school. Both town hall meetings will be posted to the SBCSC’s YouTube channel and are accessible after the live stream.

Dates and times for virtual town hall meetings:

  • Thursday, July 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (In Spanish)

To access the live, virtual events on a computer or other device with internet access:

  • Scroll down to the live event.
  • Click the post to join.
  • Use the “comments” section to submit questions and comments.
