About Us

Jackson Intermediate Center serves over 550 students in grades 5-8.

Jackson first opened in 1965 as a high school and a duplicate of the LaSalle High School building. The building was named after Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States. In 1975 it was decided to convert Jackson into a Middle School and the high students relocated to Riley, Washington, and North Liberty. The middle school was converted to an intermediate center as a part of the Plan Z reorganization in 2003.

We are proud to be the intermediate Project Lead The Way Magnet for the South Bend Community School Corporation!
